The left side, which is the mind, would be what all minds do, which is think or perceive, the action of analyzing something. The right side shows the object that the mind sees. This would be the perception, the something the mind analyzed. Descartes' philosophical view of this would be that the act of perceiving would be an irrefutable truth, something that is 100% true, because analyzing would require using your mind to think, and everybody thinks. The perception would be a doubt because that is the result of analyzing and the result can vary, due to tradition and culture. So it wouldn't be the same for everyone. The result wouldn't be 100% true.
